Welcome to Your New Wiki for Central Michigan Lifelines.
I am glad to be a part of this climate change professional learning community as leader. I have known Alan for many years and am glad to team up with him again. I am the Director of the Central Michigan GEMS Center (http://gems.cmich.edu) at Central Michigan University (CMU) where I am a professor of science education. I am also the current president of the Michigan Science Education Leadership Association. I advise the National Science Teacher Association preservice chapter at CMU. I have been a part of the GEMS Network since 1990 when I became an GEMS associate through a Lawrence Hall of Science grant. We provide workshops for preservice and inservice teachers, run a Super Saturday program for ages 4 through Grade 8, and are an Advancing Teacher Leaders in Space Science grant (ATLSS) site.
I taught for 10 years in Concord and Byron, California in grades 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 8.
